For entertainment, casual planning has the event going in a more family oriented direction for 2008 instead of being a music festival.
Family Fun
The Des Moines Wild West "Family Fun" Fest will
feature the following concessions (separate fees may apply, much like
a visit to the local amusement park or carnival).
Rides
Sleepy Hollow Sports Park will be operating several of their small carnival-style rides. Ride tickets sold separately.
Games of Skill
Archery, knife toss and other type games will be there. Step right up, buy a chance, and maybe win bragging rights.
Western Meet and Greets
When not out fighting in the saloon or dueling at "high noon," western characters (like Billy the Kid and Wyatt Earp) will be roaming the town for photo opportunities.
Young at Heart Goodies
Cotton candy, caramel apples, ice cream, root beer, and kid-friendly trinkets will be available.
